The Salmon River Ice Bowl has been moved to Jan. 12th 2013
See you there !
Let the Slammon begin! Can't wait to go. Yea I know, I won't be playing, but, such a cool tournament and we all know how much the Salmon guys go out of their way to make this one of the best tournies of the year. Also the home of my only basket ace of my long storied career. Hope to see as many of you as possible over there.
I happend to be in that flight the year of the ace and it was rather unbelievable if i wasnt there to witness it myself, damn sweet!!! at least you were upright to throw it unlike continental a few years ago.... stoked to go and play one of my fovorite tournys of the year!!!!!
Is ANYONE up for the challenge to dethrone McCoy " The Bomber " Conner from winning his 6th consecutive Salmon River Ice Bowl ?
After posting a -22 on a fairly wooded course last year, it's hard to fathom.
It can be done
But you have to jump in the river afterwards !
I know at least 2 car loads are going from Missoula. Any others?? It's definitly close enough to day trip, but you would be missing out on the festivities.
Would love to win the thing and take Coy's 5 year running title, but if you gotta jump in, I might let McCoy win again.
This event is always a blast!! Camping on the Salmon river, a good crew of locals busting their ###### getting the course in PRIME shape (best non - hardened tee pads anywhere every year!!) a good showing from the Boise masters/grandmasters, a great chili feed for lunch and a live band and party on site afterwards!! Don't forget that ace inducing salsa, either!! Gonna be fun!!!!!
Sounds like they might need a basket or two. Bring one if you can.
9 days till Schlammin in Salmon!!!
Needing 5 baskets from Montana crew .
If your coming Friday and can bring one , please do !
I just wanted to drop in and let the Montana Boys know that the Southeast Idaho Invitational Is a sponsor for the Salmon River Ice Bowl this year. We are throwing in a Tournament disc from last year and also a $50 Voucher for the 2013 Southeast Idaho Invitational for the winner in the open division. This was one of Idaho's biggest paying tournament last year we payed out 830 dollars to first place. we are looking to get a 1000 prize this year.
Gonna be a long day & a half of work till we leave for Salmon! Can't wait to get down there & enjoy some of their great hospitality & a couple nites camping on the Salmon river. If you've never been, you don't know what your missing. The best ice bowl chili, great people from all over Idaho & hopefully MT, a really fun course with several holes having water come into play and great tee pads, & an awesome party on the banks of the Salmon river with a live band playing well into the nite!!! Hope to see a good MT turnout! It's well worth the 2 hour drive!!!
So, did McCoy win his 18th straight?
Word on the street is Brian B. broke the spell...
